Did you know that the best time to hike in Hong Kong is between October and April?
SwedCham invites you for a 10 km hike of Hong Kong's highest peak Tai Mo Shan and its famous waterfalls on March 23.
Take the chance to experience a new part of Hong Kong - meet members in a relaxed atmosphere while exploring beautiful views. We will start at the foothills with a hike of the famous Ng Tung Chai Waterfalls, and proceed up the mountains to Tai Mo Shan, Hong Kong's highest peak, offering incredible aerial views of the New Territories. We will finish the hike with a well-deserved break and afternoon tea (optional).
The hike will be led by member, experienced hiker and trail runner Annie Wang (when she is not hiking she is the Managing Director at AquaNordics).
This is a medium-hard hike, suitable for people with previous hiking experience and in good shape.
We will meet up by Tai Po Market MTR Station Exit A1 at 9.45 (for a 10.00 am departure) and from there take a 30-minute bus to the beginning of the hike. The hike is around 4.5 hours with a distance of 10 km, but the end of the hike is 5 km downhill on concrete pavement (Tai Mo Shan Road).
