The European Union and Hong Kong Government have committed to ambitious targets for achieving climate neutrality.
EU Office to Hong Kong and Macau, Invest HK, EuroCham and HKGCC for 'Greenway 2024: The Dialogue' at Conrad Hong Kong on April 29 at 2.00 - 6.15 pm. The event aims to facilitate dialogue and partnerships and drive sustainable initiatives that can contribute to a greener future for Hong Kong and the wider region.
Key attendees include the Hon John KC LEE, Chief Executive of the HKSAR, Paul CHAN Mo-po, Financial Secretary of the HKSAR, and other senior representatives from government and business sectors.
This year's edition is built upon five themes toward a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future:
- Green Cities: Creating urban spaces in harmony with nature
- Green Innovation and Technology: Developing technology for a greener future
- Green Finance: Financial strategies for sustainability
- Green Mobility: Sustainable transportation, particularly in aviation
- Green Trade: Enhancing sustainability in global trade
The conversations are expected to create actionable policy recommendations for the HKSAR government to integrate sustainability more profoundly into our societal fabric and signal a collaborative approach between Europe and the Hong Kong government and the business community.
