Over the past years, a lot of Swedish companies have embraced China as a fast growing and attractive market for B2B and B2C solutions, increasingly relying on China to deliver on their global growth targets. Companies have also become used to China being a very capable and reliable sourcing destination due to its extensive experience in manufacturing and it's developed supply chain. However, over the past year, new uncertainties in business planning have been introduced as China-US tensions have escalated, having the potential to upset both sales and sourcing strategies. At the same time, ASEAN has emerged as a stable and free-trade friendly regional growth engine & sourcing alternative.

On March 26th, Carl Lindwall, Head of Business Sweden in Thailand and Diem Anh Tran of Business Sweden in Vietnam will speak about the main trends in ASEAN today and the background & scope to the US-China trade tensions. Insights on topics such as how Swedish companies can capitalize on the trade war to grow in China, strategic risks to consider, how companies should respond to the tensions and the potential impact on ASEAN will also be shared. The event will be hosted at Business Sweden's Hong Kong office by Van Hoang, Trade Commissioner.

A light breakfast will be served.
