The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we live our lives and the way we do business. Restrictions have been implemented to protect our health, affecting us as individuals and the operations of our healthcare systems, companies, organisations and schools, as well as public and private institutions.

New behaviours, such as physical distancing, virtual meetings and improved hygiene measures, will most likely continue to be important parts of our lives as we gradually get back to normal. To understand and to have knowledge of what risks are associated with using networks, Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence will be key in preparing for a low touch economy.

Ms Magda Chelly, Former CISO and Head of Cyber Risk Consulting for Marsh Asia and Ms Marie-Hélène Mansard, Regional Business Development Director, South Asia and Pacific, for Axis Communications will share their expertise within the security domain on how to ensure better cyber security in an environment without traditional perimeter, with more than 80% of employees working from home and with a constantly changing regulatory landscape. This will be combined with views on how to ensure compliance with safe distancing measures in public spaces and shops and still ensure a great citizen and/or customer experience.

We will deep dive into areas such as cyber risks, with risk quantification and risk transfer, as well as the DADA chain (Detect, Analyze, Decide, Act), and why a low touch economy (such as people counting, access control, detecting mask on a face and perimeter protection) is not only a result of COVID-19 but without doubt here to stay.

Both Magda and Marie-Hélène will also share how they work passionately to bring more female professionals into the security industry.

This event is a SwedCham APAC event and will be moderated by Lars-Åke Severin, Chairman of SwedCham China, and Founder & CEO of PSU, a risk and security consultancy.
