Koding Kingdom & MajorMaths offers in cooperation with SwedCham HK try-out lessons for SwedCham members and their children! Over the course of several weeks they will present 4 different lessons, two in maths and two in programming. This is the third class in total and the first in programming. This class is geared towards kids in the age of 12 to 16.


Designed for a foundational introduction to Python Programming, students will learn the basics of coding with the Python programming language by writing programs that they can interact with! In this workshop students will cover printing, variables, functions, math, and getting information from users. They will write a madlib game that takes in and stores data from a user and returns a unique response!

Students will be able to:

  1. Explain what a program is
  2. Identify variable types
  3. Create functions
  4. Use Python to print data to the screen
  5. Create a madlib game

Requirements:

  1. Account on repl.it (free)
  2. Access to internet
  3. Browser (Chrome/Safari/Firefox)


Please note that after your registration you will be contacted by SwedCham to complete your registration by answering a few extra questions such as what school your child is attending and it's full name.
