Did you know that Sweden offers a government-backed export credit system designed to facilitate and promote exports, as well as enhance the internationalisation and competitiveness of Swedish industry? This combined system helps streamline the financing of transactions with Swedish exporting companies, offering significant benefits for all parties involved.
Join us on Wednesday 5 March when SEKโ and EKNโ - the key players behind Sweden's export credit system - will join us in SwedCham APAC's Zoom room to explain how Swedish businesses across the region can take advantage of this system to simplify financing for transactions involving Swedish exporters.
The Swedish government's new foreign trade and investment strategy highlights Asia as a priority growth market for Swedish exports. The strategy aims to strengthen Sweden's economic ties with the region, promote sustainable development, and advance digitalization. The focus is on increasing and diversifying exports, improving trade conditions, and providing better support to Swedish companies operating in Asia. To drive this vision forward, Sweden has a robust export credit system designed to boost the competitiveness of Swedish industries abroad by covering political and commercial risks associated with exports and investments overseas. The key partners facilitating this are:
- SEK, The Swedish Export Credit Corporationโ: A state-owned company tasked by the Swedish government to finance Swedish exporters, their subcontractors, and foreign customers
- EKN, The Swedish Export Credit Agencyโ: A government authority that provides guarantees, acting as insurance, for the Swedish exporter in case payment is not received.
This session is essential for Swedish businesses in Asia looking to understand the valuable support available from the Swedish government to help them invest and grow in the region. Attendees will gain critical insights into the mechanisms of Sweden's export credit system, learn how to leverage it for their business needs, and better navigate the challenges of international trade in Asia. This is a unique opportunity to explore the benefits of Sweden's export system to strengthen your business presence in the region.
