Frederik Gollob has only recently switched his career path after a 19-year career with Daimler AG / Mercedes-Benz AG focusing on Sales & Marketing in various senior leadership roles. Having lived in Beijing for over 7 years, and with the responsibility to build the strongest Dealer Network for Mercedes-Benz globally, he accumulated extensive knowledge on doing business in Asia. In 2018 he was appointed President & CEO of Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong.

In October 2020, Frederik joined one of the world’s biggest car dealer groups, with the responsibility to build up an entire business model for selling and servicing electric vehicles in China. In addition, he co-founded the consulting company [hil-top] advisory HK Ltd. together with his wife Karen Gollob. The company focuses on Marketing Strategy, Analytics and Distribution topics. Frederik has been a Director within the German Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong since November 2018, actively promoting industry interests within the European Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (EuroCham). Since January 2020, he has also been the EuroCham Chairman. In this role, he has focused on reforming the chamber into a strong and effective lobbying platform for European companies.

Ben Wootliff is Head of Control Risks Cyber Security practice in Asia. In addition to managing cyber security projects for clients, and developing methodologies and product offerings, Ben leads the cyber security strategy for Control Risks in Asia.

Prior to this Ben was the General Manager of Control Risks Hong Kong where he had oversight of a range of investigative, crisis and security management, and political risk projects. He has also managed corporate investigations teams in Europe and Asia, including managing the corporate investigations business in Greater China and North Asia.

Mr. van Hattum has served as head of the trade section of the EU office to Hong Kong and Macao since January 2021. He has previously worked for the International Labour Organisation, European Humanitarian Aid Department, European Commission in Thailand, and other Trade Sections of European Delegations in the APAC region. He has experience engaging government and civil society on free trade agreements, a trade and values agenda and increasing market access, as well as leveraging EU trade to improve labour, human rights and environmental standards in EU trading partners.
Walter van Hattum holds an M.A. in Political Economy of Development from Radboud University Nijmegen and the University of Sussex, and an MBA from Heriot Watt (Edinburgh).
